One after the other, Bollywood movies are repeatedly failing that the box office. The situation at the moment is worrisome. While some say the boycott culture is to be blamed, there are others like Vivek Agnihotri and Anupam Kher who say that films have been boycotted in the past as well and it's everyone's right to do so.?
Sharing his two cents on the ongoing uproar, Rahul Dholakia, the director of Shah Rukh Khan stareer Raees and 2007 Indian drama Parzania laid out five suggestions for Bollywood to make better movies.?
Earlier, Kareena Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu were tagged arrogant by the internet for their statements. Kareena in an old statement said, "The audience has made us, no one else has made us. Same people pointing fingers are the ones who have made these nepotistic stars right??Aap jaa re ho na film dekhne? Mat jao.?Nobody has forced you".?

In an interview with India TV, the actress quipped, "Please everyone boycott our film,?Dobaaraa.?I want to be in the same league as Aamir Khan¡¯s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar¡¯s Raksha bandhan." Soon after this, #BoycottDobaaraa became a trend on social media.? ?
Arjun Kapoor was also massively trolled for his?Bollywood was too decent?comment. He told Bollywood Hungama, "I think we made a mistake by being silent about it and that was our decency but people have started taking advantage of that."
