The debate on whether films like Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal should be made continues almost a year after the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film was released. Should movies be showing things that can have a wrong impact on the audiences? Should audiences be getting inspired by such films? Sharing his two cents on the same, Rajkummar Rao who is basking in the success of Stree 2 drew?parallel with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Devads.?
On Raj Shamani's podcast, the Bollywood actor said that if anyone is relating to a character like Devdas, then the problem is with them as the film, which is based on a book, clearly shows what will happen in the end if you become Devdas - you will die sooner. "It's a character story...?He is not telling you that he is facing all these, still he is living well and has a lot of money," he said.?
Furthermore, talking about Vanga's Animal, he said that he enjoyed watching the movie and praised Ranbir Kapoor's performance. At the same time, he said that he might also have some issues with some of the scenes in the movie but that doesn't change the fact that he enjoyed watching it. "Rajkummar shared that a film critic said that the film was titled Animal and not Adarsh Purush, as the director wanted to show the story of an animal," he said.?
Meanwhile, Adil Hussain who played the role of college dean in Kabir Singh has recently hit back at Sandeep Reddy Vanga asking if he was more popular than Life Of Pi director Ang Lee. Adil, for the unversed, has kickstarted a controversy after he said that he regrets doing Vanga's Kabir Singh for its misogynistic content. Vanga on the other hand slammed him by saying that the movie made him popular and that he would replace his face using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the movie.?
