After Prabhas in Baahubali, Ram Charan is basking in the glory of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR, the film which after months of release is still winning praises globally.?
Joining the bandwagon of Hollywood stars who have praised the movie is Hollywood screenwriter?Aaron Stewart Ahn who is known for?Mandy (2018) and Cabinet of Curiosities (2022).?
He wrote, "Would love to write a movie for a movie star like Ram Charan, just to work with such a great actor and cinematic presence. But if he works in international productions he must be the lead! Hollywood usually doesn¡¯t get that. I¡¯m here for more great Indian movies".
He took to Twitter to share with his fans, "Holy hell, RRR. Has any movie ever packed more movie into a movie? What a ride. Still thinking about it a couple days later (sic)"??
Rajamouli's RRR became a target of controversy after Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty labelled the movie as a "gay love story."
Pookutty made the comments on Twitter, in response to a post by actor Munish Bhardwaj, who called the period action film ¡°30 minutes of garbage¡±.
The sound designer replied, "Gay love story" and in a follow-up post, he said Bollywood star Alia Bhatt was just a "prop" in the big-budget spectacle.??
Soon after this, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda has called out Resul Pookutty for his "extremely disappointing" remarks.?
"I don¡¯t think @RRRMovie is a gay love story as you say but even if it was, is ¡®gay love story¡¯ a bad thing? How can you justify using this? Extremely disappointed that someone of your accomplishments can stoop so low!" the producer wrote.
Pookutty then replied, "Agree totally. Absolutely nothing wrong even if it was. I merely quoted 2 my frnd, banter that already exists in public domain & nothing else. There is no stooping factor in this. U don¡¯t have 2 take it seriously Shobu, I didn¡¯t mean any offense 2 any stake holders. I rest my case here! (sic)." he replied.
