While most of the people are praising Ranbir Kapoor for being candid and honest in his latest interview with Indian entrepreneur and co-founder of Zerodha, Nikhil Kamath for his podcast series called?WTF is--where he hosts friends as well as industry experts and engages in casual yet intellectually stimulating conversations--and even calling him misunderstood?this Reddit user has accused him of lying about these five things. Not a casual and unsubstansical accusation, the user has also shared proof in support of the same and now fans are scratching their heads.?
As per the Reddit user, the actor admitted in the interview that his father Rishi Kapoor?kept him on a tight budget when he was in the US for his studies so that he remained disciplined and grounded rather than living like a superstar's son. As per Ranbir, who was studying in?Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, he was only given?"like $2 for lunch and $2 for dinner",?which he said was?"enough to have a McDonald¡¯s dollar menu meal for lunch and dinner".?
The Reddit user pointed out that his mother Neetu Kapoor on?The Kapil Sharma Show?has once revealed,?"Rishi gave him 10$ for lunch and dinner per day.?
Talking about Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, which was accused of glorifying misgony, Ranbir Kapoor apologised but said that he would still do the film all over again. The Reddit user shared he had once said in an interview with Film Companion that he would never do a?misogynistic role as he is aware of influence and position.?
In the interview, he also spoke about mental health and shares his opinion that men and women?mentally shouldn't be judged for taking therapy of help. The Reddit user pointed how once he had mocked Anushka Sharma's anxiety and medication during an interview when she in turn had revealed about his drug addiction.?
Ranbir also discussed about dating two?very successful actresses that gave him the title of Casanova. Denying it, he said he never revealed his side of the story and doesn't even wish too because other people are involved too. He said, "It used to bother me because it is not entirely true. People don¡¯t know the entire story and I would never ever speak about somebody like this in public because it¡¯s a very private thing. But things were spoken about me, and if it makes that person happy, I don¡¯t have any conflict with that person."
At this, the Reddit user pointed out he had once himself?acknowledged?cheating with a star in?2011 interview with Stardust. He was quoted as saying, "Yes, I have cheated, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness. You realise it now, when you grow up and you value it more why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed?"
While Ranbir said that he and Alia Bhatt started living together in 2018, a year after they started dating, Alia in other interviews has mentioned they started living together during the pandemic. Did they both mess up the dates?
