A throwback interview featuring Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has resurfaced online, stirring up discussions among fans as she expresses her inclination towards a potential political career.
Known for her candid nature, Khan, in a recent interview with Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India, opened up about her thoughts on venturing into politics in the future.
During a rapid-fire round, Khan was asked about her aspirations regarding joining politics down the line, to which she responded affirmatively, stating, "Yeah, she does."
This revelation has reignited interest in a previous interview with Hindustan Times, where Khan mentioned her academic background in history and political science, expressing her desire to explore politics later in life.
One of the Reddit users said, "She can be a good politician as she can fake it well and really gully people."
Another said, "Someone is going to have tough competition. Aam Actor Pataudi (AAP)."
This comes after it was announced last weekend that actor Kangana Ranaut would be the BJP candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Expressing her gratitude, Ranaut thanked the BJP leadership, expressing her honour and joy at officially joining the party. She has consistently voiced her support for the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Despite her political inclinations, Khan continues to focus on her acting career.
Recently, she graced the screens with consecutive OTT releases, including "Murder Mubarak" and "Ae Watan Mere Watan."
"Murder Mubarak," a murder mystery directed by Homi Adajania, features an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, and Karisma Kapoor.
On the other hand, "Ae Watan Mere Watan" gets into India's struggle for independence and boasts a talented lineup, including Sachin Khedekar and Abhay Verma.
Looking ahead, Khan is set to star in Anurag Basu's "Metro... In Dino," a spiritual sequel to "Life... In a Metro." The film features a stellar cast comprising Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Ali Fazal, among others, promising yet another captivating performance from the versatile actress.
With Khan's dual interests in acting and politics now under the spotlight, fans eagerly await her next move, speculating on whether she will eventually make the leap into the political arena or continue to dazzle audiences on the silver screen.
