After Salman Khan, now Shah Rukh Khan is getting extortion calls. The King of Bollywood received a death threat over a call, following which an FIR has been lodged in the case. The caller who has been traced to Raipur, Chhattisgarh apparently demanded crores of money from Khan and warned him that if he fails to do so, he will have to bear the dire consequences.?
The FIR has been reportedly filed at?Mumbai's Bandra Police Station. The Mumbai Police have left for Raipur to investigate the matter. A case has been registered under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Indian Penal Code. Meanwhile, a Mumbai Police officer has reportedly said that the arrest will be made soon.?
The person who has been identified as Faizan reportedly called up at Bandra Police Station. As per Aaj Tak, the caller told the Police that if Shah Rukh Khan wanted to save his life, he should give them crores of rupees. Otherwise, he will have to face the consequences. As soon as he said this, the call was disconnected and the phone number since then has been switched off.?
?This comes a day after Vikrant Massey revealed that he has been getting death threats over his upcoming movie The Sabarmati Report, which is based on 2002 Godhra train burning incident. Simultaneously, Shah Rukh's close friend Salman Khan has also been getting extortion calls and death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang - especially after the group claimed responsibility of his close friend and politician Baba Siddique's death.?
Earlier on November 5, the Mumbai Police had also received another threat message against Salman Khan. This call was allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat message gave the actor two options - either to apologise or pay Rs 5 crore and stay alive.
