Actor Shekhar Suman, who played Sameer in the sitcom "Dekh Bhai Dekh" in 1993, recounted the appalling working circumstances experienced by the show's actors. He clarified how harsh circumstances caused performers to pass out, but they were never truly complained.
The 'Dekh Bhai Dekh' shoot would start after lunch, Shekhar revealed in a chat with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, after a morning script reading session.
"They used to take long shots of 10¨C20 minutes. The doors were closed from all four sides. It was the first time we were shooting with multi-cams, with many huge lights, and no fans or air conditioning. Aadmi bhun kar, tal kar, barbaad ho kar bahar nikalta that (People would leave the room all fired up and exhausted), but nobody complained," he said.
He added,? "When I turned to give a cue to a co-actor, I saw she had fainted. Then, when I looked at Farida ji, I saw she was also lying there."

Three generations of the Diwan family, who reside as an extended family in an ancestor's bungalow in a Mumbai neighborhood, are the focus of the narrative. The family is shown navigating issues with their business, relationships, obnoxious parents, and in-laws.

In Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar plays Nawab Zulfikar. Important roles in the historical drama series are played by Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Fardeen Khan. Adhyayan, Shekhar's son, portrays Nawab Zoravar in the show, which is a pivotal part.
