Actor Sonu Sood in recent years became the saviour of all unheard citizens of this country. From helping people reach home across miles during Covid to making his Twitter a playing field of all good deeds, the Dabangg actor has done it all. Recently, Sood offered a singing opportunity to a viral lady singing a song from the 90s.
The lady purported to be in some remote location sings this 1970s song at her daughter¡¯s request while preparing chapatis in the kitchen. The film is originally from the movie Mehbooba and was sung by the legendary Kishore Kumar. Although the video is old it went viral yet again after a user shared it on Twitter.
Sharing the video, Twitter user Mukesh Kumar Sinha wrote in Hindi, ¡°Can it be more melodious than this? A mother singing on the wishes of her daughter.¡± Replying to this, Sonu wrote, ¡°Send her number¡ mother will sing for the film.¡± Several netizens lauded Sonu¡¯s move and appreciated his kind gesture.
Reacting to its disastrous reception, Sood told PTI, ¡°I wish the film could have done well because there was a lot of hard work put in. As an actor, it is important that you give your 100 per cent and it is up to the audience to decide what is right and what is wrong in it. You have to accept your failures and learn from them and next time you can be better, you can deliver better. I, as an actor, do that. This time we failed but next time we will do well.¡±
He told the Bombay Times, ¡°Bollywood has been making quite a number of good films, but one must also not forget the fact that the number of films south makes is huge. It is at least five times more than Bollywood. So, content coming from there is much more than what we are making. Thus, I feel that it makes for a good healthy competition and it keeps you on your toes to make good movies.¡±
When asked if Bollywood needs to pull up their socks, he added, ¡°They need to, I mean everyone needs to¡ as I think, when you have competition¡±. Sonu in his kitty next has Thamilarasan and Fateh.
