Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is known for his evergreen films and explosive interviews. He made his mark in this industry by being one of the very few directors who came across as a No-Nonsense person. In a recent interview, Mahesh Bhatt opened up regarding his admiration toward actor Shah Rukh Khan for which he can¡¯t be enough grateful.
Talking to Pinkvilla, Mahesh said, "I am the only one who has made two flops with Shah Rukh Khan. Though he was coming into his own and I love Shah Rukh, amazing guy. But despite my dismissal performance, he treated me always like a king sure and it takes a king to treat another person like a king. I'll always be grateful to him."
He also called Shah Rukh 'outstanding' and added, "You don't make people like that. He's an amazing guy. The actor in him is obviously the vehicle on which the persona stands but I've listened to his heartbeat. There's a very big man in it, a very generous, courageous, great human being."
The films talked about are one, 1996 release Chaahat which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and co-starred? Pooja Bhatt, Naseeruddin Shah, Ramya Krishnan, and Anupam Kher. The duo¡¯s next collaboration was 1998¡¯s Duplicate which was an action comedy. It starred Juhi Chawla and Sonali Bendre in pivotal roles.
Bhatt on his filmography draft is known for evergreen superhits that he released in the 1980s and 1990s. His directorial like Sadak, Saaransh, Arth, Aashiqui, Gangster: A Love Story, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin were a few of the cult classics from his kitty.
In 2020, Mahesh returned as a director after 20 years to bring back the sequel of the 1991 blockbuster Sadak. Original lady lead, Pooja Bhatt also gave a special appearance in this second edition. Sadak 2 starred Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Jisshu Sengupta, Gulshan Grover, Makrand Deshpande and Priyanka Bose.?
Shah Rukh Khan is all set to be seen in Siddharth Anand's Pathaan alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham which is set to release on 25th January 2023. He is also prepping up for Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu which will hit theatres on December 22, 2023.
