The American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has finally concluded her Eras Tour, which continued for nearly two years in Vancouver on December 8. During the final concert in Vancouver, the singer thanked her audiences for their love and support throughout the tour. But something interesting has happened after the Eras finale.
According to People Magazine, the Eras Tour has earned over $2 billion, which makes it one of the most successful tours in history. But not just this. The star, who is well-known for her generous nature, has even distributed $197 million in bonuses to her crew members. Yes, you read that right.
The bonuses in question are almost about 10% of the tour¡¯s total earnings. The bonuses were given to people involved with the tour crew, like truck drivers, caterers, instrument technicians, merchandise teams, lighting and sound professionals, production staff, assistants, carpenters, dancers, musicians, security personnel, choreographers, pyrotechnics experts, riggers, hair and makeup artists, wardrobe teams, physical therapists, and video crews.
This is not the first time Taylor Swift has done something like this. The star last year too reportedly distributed $55 million in bonuses when the first U.S. leg of her tour ended.
The Eras Tour started in March last year. It has been a memorable chapter in the American celebrity's music career.?
The tour was the sixth concert tour by Taylor Swift. It began in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023 and concluded in Vancouver, British Columbia, on December 8. The tour had over 140 shows across five continents.
