One can only image the fear that Afghanistanis are going through after Taliban took over the country. Lots of Indians are also stuck in the country as they were there for their work and are desperate to come back as the situation demands.
One person stuck there is TVactress Nupur Alankar¡¯s brother in law Kaushal Agarwal.
The 50 year old businessman had a telephonic conversationwith TOI and narrated the entire incident that has been unfolding inAfghanistan every since the Taliban¡¯s entered.
He said,?
Talking about how the survival is becomedifficult each day Kaushal said,?
¡°There are frequent power cuts and we haveelectricity supply for about three-four hours each day. Also, there¡¯s no properwater supply and we are able to take a bath only once in three days. I chargemy mobile phone by using the car battery. They have instructed all mobilenetwork providers to stop the connection from 6 pm to 6 am. So, I can makecalls only before and after that. The Taliban can be seen patrolling thestreets of Kandahar and it is unnerving. I am stuck here and all I want to dois return to India and be with my family. I have mailed a request to the Indianembassy, but there is no reply from them yet. My calls to their office havegone unanswered. I will have to go to Kabul to take a flight to India, but theworry right now is how do I get there?¡±.
We just hope he and rest of the people who arestuck there manage to come out. And we pray for a better situationin Afghanistan.
