Addressing PETA India, Uorfi Javed referred to the animal rights organization as a "scam." Uorfi responded on Sunday to a post that her designer friend, Shweta Gurmeet Kaur, shared. She slammed PETA India for failing to assist them in rescuing an injured bird in the post.?
In her post Shweta wrote,? I called @petaindia. They clearly said that they can't help because they are busy. I was talking to a lady. And when I asked, please help, then she said we can't help and sharing some other pet help number they might help you.¡±
She went on to add that she asked the said person to share the number but she hung up on her.??
Reposting this to her Instagram account, Uorfi, wrote, "Peta India is a scam.¡± She continued by saying that they don't care unless you're well-known. She also called them hypocrites.
In the post, Uorfi added, "And can someone please help Shweta to get aid for an injured animal.
