Last night?Iranian-German actress Elnaaz Nourouzi stepped out in a blush pink mini 'bouquet dress' for an event in Mumbai. While the diva posed for shutterbugs, we couldn't help but be reminded of a dress worn by fashion icon Uorfi Javed which too was inspired by a bouquet, albeit a paper one. While Bollywood divas are often seen out and about in similar dresses, the odds of coming across two dresses with strikingly similar inspirations behind them are rare. Nevertheless, let's check out the fashion face-off between Uorfi and Elnaaz and see whose look we like the best.
Elnaaz wore a blush pink off-the-shoulder dress which was adorned with bright yellow, pink, white and purple blooms on the neckline, giving it a bouquet-like look. The stunning dress was made up of wide vertical panels resembling paper and a white ribbon waist belt tied up in a bow, which gave the finishing touches to her bouquet aesthetic. She completed her look with white pumps which were also adorned with bows and kept her makeup and hairstyle minimal with straight side-parted locks.
Uorfi who is known for her bizarre fashion dresses, styled a bubblegum pink coloured mini-dress which featured a 'bouquet' of paper-like cherry blossoms. Her choice of blooms gave a Japanese look to her attire which even the paps pointed out by calling her 'Japani Gudiya'. Her dress had a fitted bodice which distended to a structured-flared skirt. Styling her outfit with a bun featuring face-framing tendrils and a bright pink lip, and rounded off her look with sky-high clear platform heels.
Although the thought behind both these looks may have been strikingly similar, both Uorfi and Elnaaz's looks were quite different owing to their individualistic interpretation of the bouquet theme!
Elnaaz first rose to fame when she appeared in the famous Netflix series Sacred Games which also starred Nawazuddin Siddique, Saif Ali Khan, Kubra Sait and Radhika Apte in key roles. She later went on to star in several successful OTT shows including Made in Heaven and Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond. The talented actress made her Hollywood debut with Gerard Butler in Kandahar. The beautiful diva will next be seen in the much-awaited action-thriller Hotel Tehran, shooting for which is yet to start.
On the other hand, Uorfi Javed became famous for her unique fashion sense. A favourite of paparazzi, Uorfi is often spotted in the city parading one bizarre outfit after the other. Going viral on the internet for her fearless fashion shenanigans, Uorfi has now bagged a Prime Video show. Her series Follow Kar Lo Yaar, premiered on the platform on August 23 and revolves around her day-to-day life with her family. Take a look at her trailer.
