Actor Siddharth’s recent comment about a Pushpa 2 event crowd in Patna has landed him in a controversy. His comment comes amid the roaring success of the movie. When Madan Gowri, a Tamil YouTuber, talked about the "crazy crowds" who attended the Pushpa 2 event, Siddharth dismissed it, stating, "That's all marketing." He further compared it to the crowd at a random JCB digging site.?

Siddharth said, “That’s all marketing. It’s not a big deal to gather a crowd in India. You bring a JCB for construction and crowds will gather automatically. So it’s not a big deal getting a crowd in Bihar. They (Pushpa 2) had a song and a film so OK. In India, there’s no connection between gathering a large crowd and quality. If that was the case, then all the political parties would be winning. In our days, these crowds used to be about getting biriyani and a quarter packet (alcohol)."

Reacting to it, some felt that he was being ‘too salty’ about the film’s success.?

?One wrote, “Is he just salty or just trying to manufacture some stupid controversy for attention? People clearly like Pushpa/Pushpa 2, esp in the north, and the numbers reflect that too. What sort of dumb take is this.”

Another added, “What a salty guy. Can't make himself part of something watchable in 20 + years of his career apart from 4 or 5 movies but throwing shades as if he didn't do takkar or Indian 2.”
