A head teacher of Varmakalai, Martial Arts, and Research Academy in Madurai's HMS Colony is seeking a ban on Kam Haasan's film Indian 2. He has also filed a petition against the film. A Madurai District Court on Wednesday adjourned the case seeking the ban.
According to Aasan Rajendran, the teacher from Madurai, Kamal Haasan, took his consultancy for Varmakalai techniques when he was making the first part of Indian. Now that the team has made Indian 2, the sequel to the original, Rajendran claims that nobody asked for his permission.?
Rajendran says that he got the credit for the original Indian, but this time his permission was not even asked before using the techniques in the movie. The instructor is seeking the ban of the film in theatres as well as on OTT platforms.?
As of now, the court hearing the teacher's petition has been adjourned until tomorrow (until July 11). The case was first heard on Monday.
Indin2 is a sequel to the original "Indian" that was released in 1996. Kamal Haasan played Veerasekaran Senapathy in the film. A poster for Indian 2 was released in 2020.?
