Nominations for the Emmy Awards 2024 were announced on Wednesday. Among the hundreds of nominations, there are some that literally shocked many. Here is a list of a few of the nominations that are the biggest snubs and surprises.
1.?Shogun with 25 nominations (surprise)
The historical drama Shogun has earned 25 nominations and is leading the list of nominations for this year's Emmy Awards.?
2. The Bear with 23 nominations (surprise)
The Bear has also earned a record with 23 nominations for being a comedy.?With this many nominations, The Bear surpassed 30 Rock as the most-nominated comedy series.?
3. Baby Reindeer (surprise and snub)
The real-life-inspired series (as claimed by director Richard Gadd) has been nominated for best limited series.

4. Reservation Dogs (Surprise) in a comedy series
The Reservation Dogs show has finally gotten its long-overdue nomination for a comedy series. This is the first time that the show has gotten a nomination in this category.
5. Nicole Kidman with no nominations (snub)
Nicole Kidman, who won two Emmys for her performance on Big Little Lies in 2017, has since become the queen of premium television, bringing her acting abilities and high profile in Hollywood to dramas. It's surprising that she didn't receive any nominations for her performance as Margaret in the Amazon miniseries Expats.
6.?The Curse with No Nominations (Snub)
The Curse is a dark comedy that is loved by many but has not earned any nominations. The series is about a couple trying to bring their idea of environmentally friendly homes to a low-income neighbourhood.
7.?Selena Gomez (surprise)
Selena Gomez won her first acting nomination, Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, for her performance as Mabel in Only Murders in the Building. This makes her the fourth Latina actress to get this award. Gomez won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival with Emilia Perez, Zoe Salda?a, Karla Sof¨ªa Gasc¨®n, and Adriana Paz. She also broke a record today in another category.
This is the 76th Emmy Awards night that will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theatres in Los Angeles on September 15 from 5-8 p.m. PT and 8-11 p.m. ET on ABC.?
