The firecracker business is exploding (pun completely intended) ahead of Diwali, and one techie has discovered the ideal side gig to supplement his day job: a cracker shop in his hometown. The techie in issue, known as Ray on social media, entertained hundreds of people when he revealed his moonlighting plan.?
Ray uploaded two photos of his improvised business to the microblogging platform X. He added that he had opened the shop in his hometown with two other pals.? ??
The techie went on to say that he planned to spend his mornings working at his normal job before going to the business to sell firecrackers. What's his plan? Every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., crackers are sold between 4 and 9 p.m.?
"All set for opening up the (temporary) cracker shop this Diwali with 2 other friends," Ray posted to X. "10 to 4 office/coding and 4 to 9 cracker shop," according to him.
His tweet attracted thousands of views and comments on X (previously Twitter), with some praising his entrepreneurial energy and others sharing amusing remarks.
Ray noted in the comments section that the firecracker shop was set up in his hometown, which he did not name, after obtaining the necessary permits. He stated that people in his hometown do not trust online stores, thus he expected his firm to do well before Diwali. Here's what people said.?
