LeAnn Rimes, 42, shared an unexpected story with her fans following a concert in Washington, where she experienced a dental mishap in the middle of her performance. In an Instagram video posted on Sunday, June 22, Rimes described how her front bridge fell out during the song ¡°One Way Ticket.¡±
While performing, Rimes said she suddenly felt something move in her mouth. ¡°I feel something pop,¡± she explained. Having undergone multiple dental surgeries, she realized her front bridge had fallen out. She paused the show briefly, said ¡°Hold on,¡± and ran offstage to put her teeth back in.
Rimes said she decided to be honest with the crowd and explained what had happened. ¡°I just had to get real with everybody,¡± she said, adding that the alternative was walking off stage. For the rest of the set, she kept pushing the teeth back into place using her finger while continuing to sing.
The bridge came out again during ¡°Can¡¯t Fight the Moonlight,¡± but Rimes still didn¡¯t stop the show. ¡°That was a first and hopefully a last,¡± she remarked.
After the show, Rimes joked with fans about the front-row ¡°risk,¡± saying, ¡°If you catch them, please return them.¡± She added that there wasn¡¯t much she could do except ¡°walk off or hold my teeth in.¡± She chose the latter.
Rimes later posted another clip of herself singing Miley Cyrus¡¯ ¡°More to Lose,¡± captioned with a humorous note about her teeth ¡°hanging on for dear life.¡± Her message to performers: mishaps happen, and it¡¯s OK. ¡°Just watch this video again,¡± she said. ¡°The show can go on in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment.¡±
