P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is currently in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Last week, the hip-hop mogul, who was implicated on September 17, made his first appearance at the court, where he was informed that his trial would take place on May 5. It has now been revealed that his trial will coincide with an important Hollywood event. Scroll ahead to know more.?
P Diddy will go on trial on the first Monday of May, which, of course, is Met Monday, i.e., Vogue's annual Met Gala. The coveted event, to be held on May 5, has a Superfine: Tailoring Black Style theme next year¡ªironically, a persona that disgraced rapper, 54, projected in his almost three-decade-long career before his dark past landed him behind bars. It would be interesting to see if Met's haute couture manages to shift focus from Diddy's highly- publicised case, who is the latest to suffer the wrath of cancellation culture.?
New day, new Diddy allegations. The self-proclaimed bad boy has been hit with six new lawsuits on Monday that accused the rap impresario of raping women, sexually assaulting men, and molesting a 16-year-old boy. The then minor is a man living in North Carolina who has alleged that Combs sexually assaulted him when he was 16 at one of the Bad Boy entrepreneur¡¯s infamous "white parties¡± in Long Island¡¯s Hamptons in 1998.
Earlier this month, Diddy was hit by a wave of 120 new allegations, with Texas Lawyer Tony Buzbee setting up a hotline number for accusers who claimed they were assaulted by Diddy. As Buzbee begins official proceedings for the 120 lawsuits, the rapper's legal team has hit back, saying the lawyer aims to gain his two minutes of fame by indulging in the matter. "The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today¡¯s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity," the rapper's team alleged, adding "Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defences, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone¡ªadult or minor, man or woman.¡±
