On Jan 11, 2023, the whole nation woke up to brilliant news - RRR's Naatu Naatu won the prestigious Golden Globe award. Naatu Naatu, a song composed by MM Kreem, lyrics by Chandrabose and choreography by the prolific Prem Rakshith, was nominated in the Best Original Song category alongside Carolina by Taylor Swift, Ciao Papa by Alexandre Desplat, Roeban Katz, from Guillermo del Toro¡¯s Pinocchio, Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga, BloodPop, and Benjamin Rice from Top Gun: Maverick and Lift Me Up by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig G?ransson from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Speaking about the song Naatu Naatu at the prestigious award ceremony, Ram Charan was quoted as saying, "My knees still wobble talking about it. Ya, it was what it is, it is a beautiful torture and look where it got us! We are standing here, talking to you today on this carpet, thanks to it."
The win comes a day after Shah Rukh Khan asked Ram Charan to let him touch the Oscar trophy that RRR will win. On Gloden Globe's win, SRK was ecstatic. He took to Twitter to say that he is dancing to the song.?
"Sir just woke up and started dancing to Naatu Naatu celebrating your win at Golden Globes. Here¡¯s to many more awards & making India so proud," he tweeted.
Dr. Jayantilal Gada CMD of Pen Studios said in a statement that SS Rajamouli has made India proud.
