Jackie Chan was born on April 7, 1954, in Hong Kong. He began his career as a child actor in the 1960s and later trained in martial arts and acrobatics at the China Drama Academy. Chan's breakthrough came in the 1978 film "Drunken Master," which established him as a major star in Hong Kong cinema.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Chan became known internationally for his action-comedy films, which often feature elaborate stunt sequences and physical comedy. Some of his most popular films from this period include the "Police Story" series, "Project A," and "Armor of God."
