He was talking in regard with the release of KGF 2 and its massive success when he said, "Everyone says that a Kannada film was made on a pan-India level but a small correction is that Hindi is not a national language anymore." Ajay Devgn had slammed him saying, "Hindi was, is, and will always be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man."
Movie producer and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema, Nandamuri Balakrishna once said that he doesn't know who AR Rahman is. "I don¡¯t know who Rahman is. I don¡¯t care. Once in a decade, he gives a hit and gets an Oscar award," he said. Balakrishna was massively trolled for his statement.
