Kangana Ranaut and controversies go hand in hand, it seems. Ever since the actress has joined BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and announced her candidature from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, she has been making headlines.?
After Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claimed that BJP gave poll pass to Kangana Ranaut who had earlier said that she eats beef, the actress clarified that she doesn't "consume beef or any other kind of red meat" and called the claims to be "baseless." However, Kangana's old posts about eating beef went viral soon after.?
Kangana Ranaut during an interaction with Times Now claimed that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was the first Prime Minister of India and got massively trolled for saying so. Later, she defended her statement and wrote on X, "All those who are giving me gyan on first PM of Bharata do read this screen shot here¡¯s some general knowledge for the beginners, all those geniuses who are asking me to get some education must know that I have written, acted, directed a film called Emergency which primarily revolves around Nehru family so no mansplaining please If I speak way ahead of your IQ you assume I must be uninformed, well the joke is on you and it¡¯s a lame one!! (yawn)".
In the same interview, Kangana Ranaut also claimed that?Sardar Patel wasn't made the prime minister because he didn't know English. Kangana once again was massively trolled for this. "WhatsApp University studentKangana Ranaut - Sardar Patel didn't know English language Fact Check - Sardar Patel did his degree from England and foresaw English as a global Tongue..," a user wrote on social media.?
Another controversy erupted after an offensive post was made from Congress leader Supriya Shrinate's and leader HS Ahir's Instagram handle against Kangana Ranaut.?Replying to the Congress leader, Kangana Ranaut took to X and wrote, "Dear Supriya ji In the last 20 years of my career as an artist I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii. We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above the curiosity about their body parts and above all we must refrain from using sex workers challenging lives or circumstances as some kind of abuse or slur¡ every woman deserves her dignity".
An old video of the actress in which she said that India got independence in 2014 went viral on social media after she joined BJP to contestant elections from Mandi. In the video, Kangana said, "Woh azaadi nahi thi, woh bheek thi.?Aur jo azaadi mili hai woh 2014 mai mili hai?(That wasn¡¯t freedom, those were alms. We got real freedom in 2014.)¡±
