Thirty-six years after the release of Nayakan, legendary actor Kamal Haasan is collaborating with the ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam yet again for?KH 234, the highly anticipated film whose other details kept under the wraps for over a year are being shared one by one now.?
Tentatively titled KH 234, the official title of the movie has been unveiled as Thug Life at 5 pm today, to mark the celebrations of?Kamal Haasan's birthday (on November 7) in advance.?
It looks like the film is set in post-apocalyptic atmosphere. In the teaser, Haasan says, "My name is Rangarayar Sakthivel Naiker. I was labelled yakuza." He then explains the meaning of a Japanese word. "It means gangster," he says before showing off his martial arts skills. Without further ado, take a look at the teaser of Mani Ratnam movie below.
As he himself shared his first look at the movie, he wrote, "A legendary reunion of the masters Mani Sir and Kamal Sir ! A learning opportunity of a lifetime. So blessed and grateful to be a part of #KH234".
While earlier it was rumoured that Vidya Balan among others has been approached for the movie, now it has been confirmed that Trishna Krishnan has bagged the project. "Blessed when dreams come true multiple times. Thrilled to collaborate again with the legendary powerhouses Mani sir & Kamal sir in #KH234. Thank you universe," wrote Trisha.
Nayanthara, Pankaj Tripathi and Ananditha are also a part of the project.
The music of the movie has been composed by AR Rahman.?
Bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films in collaboration with Madra Talkies, KH 234 has been written by?Jeyamohan and Mani Ratnam.?
