Since it debuted on Netflix on February 5, 2025, the American Hindi-language short film Anuja has been widely praised. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the film's executive producer, has now expressed her support for the movie, which has also received an Oscar nomination.Priyanka shared the movie's poster on Instagram on February 18 and expressed her joy at its ongoing success during the awards season.

Priyanka celebrated Anuja's Academy Awards nomination in the Best Live Action Short Film category earlier this month. She shared a short scene from the movie and wrote,?¡°I know you¡¯ll be just as moved by Anuja as I was¡ and I¡¯m beyond thrilled to share that it¡¯s coming to Netflix on Feb 5!"
The star of Bajirao Mastani also praised Sajda PatIhan and Ananya Shanbhag for their portrayals of the film's main protagonists, calling them "raw, honest, and utterly captivating." According to her, Anuja is more than just a movie. It is "a testament to the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood, the resilience of the human spirit, and the hope that carries us through even the darkest times."
Anuja, which was written and directed by Adam J. Graves, tells the tale of a nine-year-old girl with a gift and her older sister as they fight to overcome poverty. On August 17, 2024, the movie premised at the HollyShorts Film Festival. It is produced by Priyanka Chopra as an executive producer under her own production company, Purple Pebble Pictures, along with Guneet Monga, Mindy Kaling, Suchitra Mattai, and others.
