The Krrish franchise holds a special place in the hearts of Indian moviegoers. After the massive success of the first film, Koi... Mil Gaya, followed by its sequels Krrish and Krrish 3, fans have eagerly awaited news of another installment. Now, in an exciting update, Rakesh Roshan, the writer, producer, and director of the beloved series, has revealed that the script for the next sequel is already prepared. However, the team is currently waiting to begin production due to budget constraints.
In a recent chat with Movie Talkies, Rakesh Roshan, the 75-year-old filmmaker, confirmed that "Krrish 4" is definitely on the way. He shared, "Our script is ready. I have the idea and am happy about it. Don't believe any rumors. I'll start once we are ready."
It's been over a decade since the release of Krrish 3 in 2013, making the wait for the next installment a long one.?
Roshan explained the delay, saying, "Actually, it's caught up with budget issues. It's a high-budget film and requires a large scale. If we try to cut the budget, the storyline will suffer, and I don't want to do it that way. I will not compromise on anything. I want to get the budget and scale right, and only then will we start working on it."
When asked about the film's plot and whether the beloved character Jadoo will return, Roshan remained tight-lipped, saying: "No, no, I am not going to reveal anything."
Jadoo is a fictional alien character from the 2003 film Koi... Mil Gaya. In the movie, Jadoo develops a special bond with Rohit (Hrithik Roshan), a young man with developmental delays, and his mother, Sonia (Rekha). Jadoo's arrival brings major changes to their lives, including boosting Rohit's intelligence and abilities.
