Rashmika Mandanna gets trolled for her comments about Vijay’s film, apologises later

The ‘Kodava Beauty’ is now in the limelight for an unexpected reason. In an interview with Miss Malini, an entertainment portal, Rashmika made a factually incorrect statement about Vijay’s Ghilli.?

Rashmika Mandanna calls Ghilli a remake of Pokiri

Ghilli, one of the finest films of Vijay’s career, is a remake of Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu. However, in a recent interview, Rashmika Mandanna accidentally called it a remake of Pokiri. This did not go down too well with fans and they trolled her.? The Animal star eventually took to X( formerly known as Twitter) to apologise for her blunder.?

“I know, sorry, I made a booboo. I realised after the interview that Ghilli is a remake of Okkadu and Pokkiri is a remake of Pokiri and that people must be pointing it out on social media,” reads an English translation of her post.?

Ghilli is a sports drama that features Vijay and Trisha in the lead. It revolves around a Kabaddi player who finds himself in a difficult situation because of his bond with a woman. A remake of Okkadu, it was re-released in theatres earlier this year on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.?
