Priyanka Chopra had a special treat for all her fans on Mother's Day. The Desi Girl gave us all a glimpse of her daughter by sharing her first picture with the world on Instagram. Priyanka's husband, singer Nick Jonas was also a part of the endearing picture. The baby's face was hidden with the help of an emoji.?

Along with sharing the photo, Priyanka Chopra also penned a long note describing the roller-coaster journey the couple had to embark upon to bring their daughter home. Malti Marie Chopra Jonas is a premature baby and spent over 100 days at the NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) of the hospital. Priyanka thanked all the doctors and nurses of the hospital in Los Angeles who supported them during their difficult time.?For the unversed, the baby girl was born via surrogacy in January this year.?

Priyanka wrote on Instagram, "On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.?

"We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you."

Wishing all the moms a happy mother's day, PC wrote, "Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you."

Expressing love for her husband, the actress wrote, "Also.. there is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama?@nickjonas?I love you."?

She added, "Ps- thx?@divya_jyoti?masi for the picture and?@akarikalai?masi for MMs fit!"

While celebs poured congratulatory messages in the comments section and expressed their happiness at MM's homecoming,? Priyanka's cousin, actress Parineeti Chopra had a special wish. She called her cousin sister a 'soldier in the hospital' and wrote that the baby girl had 'taught them all so much already without even knowing it'.

The actress wrote, "Seeing the both of you like this the last three months has been both hard and inspiring. Mimi didi - I saw a soldier in the hospital - You. And little BD has taught us so much already and she doesn’t even know it! Chalo now time to start spoiling her."

Last month,?a TMZ report had revealed that Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have named their baby?Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The name was revealed after TMZ obtained the child's birth certificate. The report also revealed that the baby was born 'just after 8 PM' on January 15 at a San Diego hospital. Priyanka calling her baby MM in the post might be an acronym for Malti Marie.

Nick Jonas also penned a heartwarming note, wishing his wife Priyanka on her first Mother's Day and calling her an 'inspiration'.

The name Malti has its origins in Sanskrit and is a popular name in India. Malti means moonlight or small fragrant flower.?As for Marie, the name has Latin origins and is derived from Stella Maris, meaning Star Of The Sea. It also has a biblical connection as Mother Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, is called Stella Maris as well.
