Monali Thakur, the singer behind the hit song Sawaar Loon was reportedly rushed to a hospital after she complained of some difficulty breathing during a live performance. As per a Times of India report, the award-winning singer was performing at the Dinhata Festival in Cooch Behar, West Bengal when she suddenly complained about breathlessness.
In distress, she immediately stopped her performance and apologized to the audience, saying she felt too sick to continue.?A video from the event quickly went viral, showing Monali halting her performance and apologizing to the crowd. She explained, "I sincerely apologise to you. I am very sick today. The show was on the verge of getting cancelled."
Monali was first rushed to the Dinhata Sub-District Hospital, but her team quickly arranged for an ambulance to transfer her to a private hospital in Cooch Behar. However, hours after this news went viral like wildfire, Thakur clarified that it wasn't breathlessness. A part of her long note on Instagram read, "I was feeling unwell due to not getting enough time to recover from a viral infection/flu causing it to relapse and cause a slightly severe sinus and migraine discomfort and pain in flights."
Monali is an award-winning Indian playback singer, best known for her hit songs Sawaar Loon from Lootera and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage from Dum Laga Ke Haisha, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She has also sung in multiple languages, including Hindi, Bengali, and others, earning recognition for her versatile vocal abilities.
She also judged Zee TV's singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2014 and was an expert on Colors TV's Rising Star for two consecutive seasons.
