Marking this auspicious day, devotees remember Siddhartha Gautama, later known as Gautama Buddha, whose wisdom continues to inspire millions.
Buddha Purnima celebrated during the Vaishakha month, marks the birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha, the spiritual teacher whose teachings laid the foundation of Buddhism. According to Drik Panchang, the Purnima Tithi begins at 6:47 PM on May 22 and ends at 7:22 PM on May 23.
