Holi 2024 Special Trains: The festival of colour¡ªHoli is around the corner, and people have already started making preparations to travel to their home states to celebrate the annual event with their family members and friends. Residents from Bihar who are planning to visit their home state can expect a smoother journey as the Indian Railways is taking measures to accommodate the anticipated surge in passengers before Holi. Special trains have been announced by the Indian Railways to cater to the increased demand. In addition to Bihar, Holi special trains have also been scheduled for other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala.
This year Holi will be celebrated on Monday, March 25, 2024. Holi is celebrated by Hindus all over. It is one of the biggest festivals on the Hindu calendar. It is also known as the festival of colours.
Train number 04033 is scheduled to depart from Delhi on March 22 and 29, running between New Delhi and Udhampur. On its return journey, train number 04034 will make stops at Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, and Jammu Tawi.
Indian Railways has announced the operation of another Holi Special Train for Vaishno Devi, running twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. The train will depart from Delhi between March 24 and 31 and return twice a week on Thursdays and Mondays from March 25 to April 1.
A special train will run from Delhi to Varanasi between March 21 and 30, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Additionally, a special train from Varanasi to Delhi is scheduled to run between March 22 and 31.
According to the schedule, the Holi special train from Katra to Varanasi will run once a week, departing from Katra on Sundays and returning from Varanasi on Tuesdays.
