The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 will officially begin on 30 June 2025 and continue until 25 August 2025 (expected). The journey will take place through two different routes in Uttarakhand (Lipulekh Pass) and Sikkim (Nathula Pass).

Who Can Join the Yatra?

Route Options and Duration

There are two main travel routes for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra:

1. Lipulekh Pass Route (Uttarakhand)

Duration: 23 days

Details: Earlier, this route used to take about 20–21 days. In 2025, extra days are added for document verification and health check-ups in Delhi.

2. Nathula Pass Route (Sikkim)

Duration: 25 days

Details: This route also includes a 3-day stop in Delhi for formalities before continuing the journey.

Health and Document Checks

Before beginning the yatra, pilgrims must spend 3 days in Delhi for:

• Medical examinations
• Acclimatisation briefings
• Document verification

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 Cost

The cost of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 varies depending on the route:

• Lipulekh Route: Rs 1.74 lakh per person
• Nathula Route: Rs 2.83 lakh per person

These costs include transport, accommodation, meals, guides, and emergency medical support.

Number of Pilgrims and Selection Process

This year, a total of 750 pilgrims have been selected through an online draw conducted in New Delhi. The draw was conducted in the presence of the Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan.
