Pooja Hegde, one of India's most known actors, is currently hiking in the US. In a recent post on Instagram, the actress posted a series of pictures from her hiking adventure at the?Skookum Flats Trail in Washington.?This popular trail follows the west side of the White River through thick forest covered in moss to the main attraction: Skookum Falls.

In one of the pictures, the actress is seen enjoying the woods and the lush greenery as the forest rays shine bright on her face. In the caption, she wrote, "We stood steady as the stars in the woods so happy-hearted and the warmth rang true inside these bones as the old pine fell we sang just to bless the morning."

The Buran Ghati trek in Himachal Pradesh is suitable for hikers of all experience levels. It starts from Janglik, a historic village about a five-hour drive from Shimla. This trek offers diverse scenery, including lush forests, expansive meadows, and crystal-clear brooks, as you move from Daraya to Dunda campsites. Along the way, you'll see stunning glacial lakes like Chandranahan.One highlight is crossing a high pass at 4,572 meters (15,000 feet) on the fifth day. The adventure continues with a thrilling descent, either rappelling down an ice wall in summer (mid-May to June) or navigating rugged boulders in autumn (mid-September to mid-October), eventually reaching the picturesque Barau village.
2) Dz¨¹kou Valley, Nagaland

Located on the border of Manipur and Nagaland, Dz¨¹kou Valley is renowned for its vibrant wildflowers, including the rare pink Dzukou Lily. The best time to visit is July, during peak flower season, but the valley remains beautiful throughout summer.You can start your hike from Viswema Village, about 22 kilometers (14 miles) from Kohima, or from Zakhama Village, which is closer but has a steeper climb. The trail winds through dense forests of chestnut, juniper, and oak, leading to breathtaking views from 2,452 meters (8,045 feet) above sea level.Overnight stays are available in a guesthouse managed by the Southern Angami Youth Association (SAYO), or you can complete the hike in a day. Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit Nagaland, while foreign tourists must register with the local Foreigner Registration Office (FRO) within 24 hours of arrival.
3) Great Lakes Trek, Kashmir
Distance: 63 kilometers (39 miles)
Duration: 5 days
The Great Lakes Trek in Kashmir is a spectacular journey through the Himalayas, featuring three high passes and seven stunning glacier-fed lakes. Starting in the quaint village of Shitkadi near Sonamarg, the trek takes you through lush meadows and ends in Naranag.The highlight is on the fifth day, where you¡¯ll enjoy magnificent views of Satsar Lakes and the twin lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol. While the trek itself is not overly challenging, spending a couple of days acclimatizing in Sonamarg is recommended to prepare for the altitude of 4,200 meters (13,780 feet).Trek Kashmir offers comprehensive support, including meals, camping gear, and transfers to and from Srinagar.
