The case of "missing" patients across the country is giving nightmares to the authorities who are leaving no stone unturned to trace these people, who could potentially pass on the virus.
In Lucknow, as many as 2,290 patients, who have tested positive for coronavirus, have submitted false information including their names, address, contact number to the local administration after they were tested for COVID.
According to a report by News 18, all these 2,290 patients were examined between July 23-July 31.?1100 are still untraceable.
The administration realised the fraud after they tried to contact the patients to inform them about their COVID reports.
The report adds that a legal action is expected to be taken against these people for providing wrong information about themselves to the administration.
Also, 3,000 COVID patients are are ¡°untraceable¡± in Bangalore, with the authorities saying these people provided wrong mobile numbers and addresses to the labs where they gave their swab samples.
