Have sex with unknown women, make them pregnant, and get paid for it! This sounded like an irresistible offer to many, but little did they know that they were been scammed out of their own money.
Bihar Police have arrested three men from Nawada district who allegedly ran an impregnation scam, promising up to Rs 10 lakhs as a reward. According to the police, the accused lured their victims through Facebook ads, where men were promised Rs 10 lakh for making childless women pregnant.
To make the deal even sweeter, the scamsters promised to pay anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh, even if the men failed to impregnate the women.
However, no such scheme existed in reality, and the scamsters made money from their victims in the name of registration and hotel bookings.
Police said that the suspects collected documents, including PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, and selfies from the victims under the pretext of registration.
They would also make their victims pay from Rs 500 to Rs 20,000 in the name of registration fees and hotel booking charges. After receiving money, the cybercriminals ended all contact with the victims, leaving them high and dry.
The three men who have been arrested by the police have been identified as Prince Raj, Bhola Kumar, and Rahul Kumar.
As bizarre as it might sound, this is not the first time cases of ¡®All India Pregnant Job Service¡¯ scams have surfaced from Bihar.
In December 2023, a similar scam was busted in Nawada, and a total of eight people were arrested for duping several men who were promised up to Rs 13 lakhs to impregnate married women who couldn't have children with their partners.
The 2023 scam also used Facebook ads, and the scamsters made money using similar tactics¡ªcharging Rs 799 as registration fees and amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 as security deposits.
