In what appears to be a repeat of the Burari mass family suicide, a four-member family in Kerala has been found dead under mysterious circumstances in Thodupuzha, Idukki.
The bodies of K Krishnan, his wife Susheela, daughter Arsha and son Arjun were found buried one over the other in a pit behind their house, some four days after, neighbours noticed that they have been missing.
The family used to buy milk from a neighbour every day and since they did not? show up for 2-3 days and even the newspapers were left unattended for days, the neighbours alerted their relatives and the cops.
The cops found blood stains on the walls inside the house and there was blood on the floors. Upon inspection of the compound, they found a freshly dug earth behind the house where the bodies were buried.?
All the four bodies were found to be having deep cut and injury marks. Krishnan's face was mutilated, Arjun had an injury on his head, while Arsha had injury marks on her back. Susheela had stab injuries on her chest and stomach. Police have recovered a hammer and a knife from the compound which they believe are the murder weapons.
Even though there are no immediate leads to the motive or the culprits behind the heinous crime, investigators are looking into the possibility of? black magic being involved.
According to locals, the four-member family largely led an isolated life, with even limited interaction with neighbours.
Krishnan, who was an astrologer, they say used to practice black magic and have in the past been booked by the police for it. Locals also said that they have seen luxury cars from various parts of the state parked outside the house in the night raisins suspicion of occult activities there.?
Police said that there was no signs of forced entry into the house, meaning that the murderers were known to the victims.
They suspect that the victims were murdered inside the house with the knife and hammer by at least a couple of people who then dragged the bodies outside and buried it in a freshly dug pit.
Police also suspect that since it was raining heavily in the area in past few days, any cry for help could have gone unnoticed.
