Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Travelers using the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will not have to pay any toll for the first 18 km, from Akshardham to Loni Border. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has confirmed that toll collection will begin only after this stretch.
A team from the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) conducted an on-site survey at the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. They examine some technical flaws in the road's construction and design. An earlier delay in the inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway was due to this factor. The inauguration was scheduled earlier as well but was later postponed. A new date is expected to be announced soon. (as per Jagran.com)
After the 18 km toll-free stretch, travelers will need to pay toll charges based on the distance they travel. The toll rates are yet to be finalized. Officials say the toll between Delhi and Baghpat (Khekra) may be higher than usual because 90% of this stretch is elevated. Normally, NHAI charges ?2.75 per km, but this section may have a higher rate.
