In a shocking incident of medical negligence, a probe has been ordered against a doctor at the community health centre (CHC) in Nawabganj Nawabganj who was operating eye patients using torchlight as there was no electricity in the hospital.
According to reports, he has operated 32 cataract patients in torch light.

According to a PTI report, Chief Medical Officer Rajendra Prasad said the acting district magistrate has ordered a probe into the matter and the organisation entrusted with the task could be blacklisted if found guilty.
Meanwhile, some relatives of the patients complained that they were not provided with any beds after the procedure and that they were made to lie down on floors despite extremely cold weather conditions.
