K-Drama star Park Min Jae passes away at 32 due to cardiac arrest, fans grieve sudden loss of rising talent

The K-drama world has been dealt a devastating blow with the untimely passing of rising star Park Min Jae at the age of 32. Known for his performances in hits like Tomorrow, Little Women, and Call It Love, the actor tragically succumbed to cardiac arrest on November 29 while in China.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed on December 2 by his agency, Big Title, which released an emotional statement honoring his legacy: “Park Min Jae, a talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best, has departed for heaven.”

Big Title CEO Hwang Ju Hye took to social media to express her sorrow, describing Park as someone who had grand ambitions. “The guy who said he would conquer China and take a month-long trip has gone on a much longer journey. It was so sudden and shocking… Min Jae, there’s still so much we wanted to say and do together.”

The late actor’s family is also grappling with the magnitude of the loss. His younger brother penned a poignant note online, urging people to remember the vibrant life his brother lived. “I hope as many people as possible can remember my brother,” he wrote, reflecting the family's deep grief.

A Promising career cut short

Park Min Jae was slowly climbing the ladder to stardom. Managed by South Korea's Big Title, he had been part of several acclaimed projects. His versatility shone in diverse roles across series like The Korea-Khitan War and Bo-ra! Deborah. Yet, with only 2,005 Instagram followers at the time of his passing, he was still on the brink of mainstream fame.
