Dhruva Das, described as a resident by a local news channel, drew a portrait of the renowned 'Kalaguru' Bishnu Prasad Rabha, which quickly garnered internet attention.
Dhruva has always had a passion for art but could never pursue his dream since life came in the way.?Facing financial hardships in life, the need was to earn money. Thus, investing in his artwork was not possible.?
His circumstances never provided him with many opportunities to pursue his dream.
But it seems that his talent did see the light of day, as his artwork of Bishnu Prasad Rabha was much appreciated.?
Recently, on 20 June, the death anniversary of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha was celebrated.?
A renowned Indian cultural figure in Assam, he was multi-talented - if his name 'Kalaguru', meaning master of arts - does not already give it away.?He was awarded this title by Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan at Varanasi for his mesmerising "Tandava" dance of Lord Shiva.?
Apart from dance, he was also known for his contributions to music, painting, literature, and political activism.?

From an early stage, he played an active role in the struggle for Indian Independence. He came to be influenced by left-wing ideas and joined the Revolutionary Communist Party of India (RCPI) in 1945, where he defied British rule and opposed wage slavery and capitalism.?
Bishnu Prasad Rabha donated an ancestral estate of 2500 bigha land received from the British government to the peasants.?
His slogan was "Haal Jaar Maati Taar, " meaning "those who cultivate should own the land".?
