Love is one feeling that can inspire people to overcome all hurdles for their beloved, and a unique wedding story that has come to light from the Palamu district in Jharkhand affirms this belief furthermore.
In this awe-inspiring development, the groom, Chandresh Mishra, went all in with his efforts to facilitate his marriage as he came for his wedding in an ambulance and performed the rituals while lying on a stretcher.
As per reports, the persevering groom had recently met with an accident days before his wedding to Prerna on June 25, due to which he got fractures in his leg, thereby leaving him bedridden in the hospital.
But this mishap was not enough to dim his resolve, as he showed up at the wedding despite his parents insisting on delaying the marriage date till he healed from his injuries.?
Brushing aside these concerns, Chandresh, in his wish to tie the knot with Prerna, chose to go ahead with the wedding on the planned date.
On his and Prerna's special day, Chandresh, along with his groomsmen, reached the venue in Medininagar, Palamu and partook in wedding rituals, including the compulsory 'saat phere' or seven circular rounds around the holy fire while seated on a stretcher as he could not stand on his legs.
Chandresh's decisiveness to get married to his beloved Prerna made numerous guests emotional as they saw the touching development unfold before them.
Notably, all the unique marriages are not so heartening and one bizarre wedding scenario from Bihar's Saran district caught people's attention earlier in May.
In this incident, a man had to get wedded to the sister of his intended bride-to-be after she threatened to take her life in case he married her sister.
The bizarre scene played out last month in Saran district wherein the groom, Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Chhapra, married his would-be bride's sister, Putul, with whom he was having an affair.
Rajesh was set to get married to Putul's sister Rinku Kumari in Bihar's Saran on May 2, but as he was on his way to the bride's house along with the wedding procession, he got a call from the bride's sister, Putul Kumari, who then threatened to kill herself by leaping off a building if Rajesh Kumar went ahead with the marriage with her sister.
The bride and groom had reportedly exchanged the wedding garlands at the mandap (wedding altar) when Putul again called Rajesh, and the marriage was stopped after that.
Eventually, Rajesh shed light on this commotion and revealed that he and Putal were in love with each other and wanted to get married, thus leaving relatives and other attendees at the spot stunned.
As a result of this startling revelation, a verbal argument was initiated between the bride's and groom's families, and it escalated to the extent that it was only resolved after the cops arrived there and intervened.
The police officers advised both families not to resort to violence and instead to find a resolution through conversation.?
Subsequently, after listening to Rajesh's complicated yet earnest account, both families agreed that it was suitable for all parties involved that Putul and Rajesh be married, thus providing a gracious ending to an eccentric love story.?
