The Shivganga Roller Skating Club in Karnataka has set a new Guinness World Record by skating backwards on inline skates. The new Guinness World Record was set by the Shivganga RSC by skating 100 metres in just 14.84 seconds.?
The record, officially recognized as 'Fastest 100 m backwards on inline skates using two wheels,' was created on May 27 this year. Guinness World Records on Tuesday shared the video of the record-setting effort by one of Shivganga RSC's members on social media.

"Another feather in the cap. The fastest 100 m backwards on inline skates using two wheels is 14.84 seconds and was achieved by Shivganga RSC (India) in Belgaum, Karnataka, India, on 27 May 2024," Shivganga RSC said in an Instagram post, while sharing the Guinness World Record certificate.
It should be noted that the Shivganga RSC has set several other Guinness World Records, including one for the 'Largest roller skate sentence.' The largest roller skate sentence is made of 1,039 roller skates and was achieved by Shivganga RSC on 29 May 2022.
In May 2023, the Shivganga RSC also set another Guinness World Record for the fastest 100 m on inline skates, which was achieved in just 11.21 seconds.?

In April 2024, Takshvi Vaghan, a six-year-old girl from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, had set a Guinness World Record for the lowest limbo skating for 25 metres.
The previous record holder of the lowest limbo skating over 25 m, as per the Guinness World Records, was also an Indian. It was Manasvi Vishal of Pune who previously held that distinction, accomplishing the feat by gliding a distance of 25 metres with a height of 16.5 centimetres above the ground.
