In a heartwarming gesture, a youth has installed his personal refrigerator out on the street to quench the thirst of locals in this summering heat. The report by one?Arnab Chakraborty was posted on?La Kolkata Tales, a page on Facebook that is dedicated to Kolkata and those who love the city.
"This is the first time a refrigerator has been installed temporarily on the side of the road in Kolkata to cope with the heat and flow," the post read.
Tousif Rahman, a 29-year-old local resident of Alimuddin Street, kept his fridge outside his house for 28 days, with more than 30 packaged drinking water bottles a day for passers-by. The aim is to provide free cold water to anyone who passes by in the scorching heat that the city witnesses.
However, even the locals started to fill water in empty bottles for others to drink. Some even kept spare bottles to keep the practice going.

Only recently, a video went viral that showed a man with an armadillo in a field-like area. The man was seen holding a can of water. Initially, the poor animal appeared scared. However, as soon the man poured the water over his body, the armadillo relaxeed. The man then tried to make the armadillo drink the water to quench its thirst in this heat.
The video was shared by IFS Susanta Nanda on Twitter with the caption, "Offering few drops of water to the thirsty is the best offering to god¡"
He credited someone named Santosh Sagar for the video.The heartwarming clip had at the time amassed over 38,000 views on the microblogging website, along with over 2,700 likes. People took to the comments section to praise the man for his kind deed.
