As various agencies continue their search for the 15 miners who were trapped in a coal mine in Meghalaya there is no sign of survivors yet even on the 17th day of the operation.
A team of 15 divers of the Indian Navy which was flown in from Visakhapatnam too has joined the mission on Saturday.

¡°The team is carrying specialised diving equipment including a recompression chamber and remotely operated vehicles capable of searching underwater,¡± a Navy Spokesperson said.
High-pressure pumps are also being transported by via road to the mine in East Jaintia Hills district. The trucks are expected to reach the location by today evening.
Pump manufacturing company Kirloskar Brothers Ltd and Coal India were jointly moving 18 high-powered pumps to drain water out of the 37-foot-deep mine.?
With the arrival of the high pressure pumps, the efforts to drain the water from the mine is expected to resume. It was earlier suspended as the? two 25 hp pumps, which were being used, were found to be inadequate.

A 20-member team of the Odisha Fire Services has also left for Shillong on Friday with equipment, including high-powered pumps, high-tech equipment and gadgets to assist the local administration in the search and rescue operation.
Meanwhile the recovery of three helmets, believed to be worn by the trapped men from inside the mine has increased the fears that there could be no survivors from the mishap.
