It was as disturbing a sight as it can get, a dog half buried in tar lying on the side of a road.
The image surfaced earlier this week, from Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

According to ANI, the construction company RP Infraventure constructed part of Fatehpur road over a dead dog. The dog's body was removed after police complaint was filed. However, social activist Naresh Paras told PTI that workers were laying a fresh layer of coal tar while constructing the road from Phool Sayyed crossing towards the Circuit House and the Taj Mahal, and the stray dog was 'sleeping' on the roadside.?
The construction workers did not bother to wake the dog up, allegedly poured burning hot tar on it. Locals reportedly said that they heard the poor dog cry in pain, until it died.
