A South Korean dog has been dubbed a miracle after she, quite literally, rose from her own grave. The dog, named Hosun, was hit by a truck and was buried by a neighbor who found her motionless and without a heartbeat.?But to the utter shock and delight of her owner, Kim Sun-hwa, Hosun rose from her grave four days later and, six years later, continues to live with them, happily and healthy.
Hosun's story started in 2018 when she was hit by a truck after the canine escaped through a fence. A neighbor, who thought she was dead, buried her on the ownersĄŻ behalf a few hundred meters from their home.

But four days later, Kim heard HosunĄŻs moaning, and while searching, her husband found the dog collapsed in a ditch, covered in mud.
They took the severely injured dog to a vet who confirmed that Hosun had suffered multiple bone fractures in her hind legs and pelvis.
After multiple surgeries, Hosun has managed to regain her health, and despite still having a slight disability in her hips and hind legs, she is still running around.
In her village, where the residents are convinced that she really did pass away and came back from the afterlife, Hosun has been a legend of sorts for many.
Hosun's incredible story resurfaced recently after it was covered in the South Korean TV show 'What on Earth'.??

An animal expert interviewed by the TV show suggested that the neighbor who buried her did not dig a deep hole, so when she regained consciousness, she was able to struggle out of her Ą°graveĄą before trying to make her way home.
According to the expert, Hosun must have been exhausted by her efforts and had fallen into the ditch where she was found four days later, surviving only because there was some water in it.
