Rakesh Goel, the owner of Hotel Arpit Palace where a massive fire?killed 17 people have been arrested five days after the tragedy.
According to reports, Goel was arrested from Delhi Airport while he was returning from Qatar by Indigo flight 6E 1702.
Police nabbed Goel after they got a tip-off about his travel plans. Immigration officials were alerted and on his arrival, he was detained and handed over to the Crime Branch.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Deo said Goel will be interrogated and produced in the court.
Goel faces multiple charges including forgery and neglect.?
According to reports Arpit Palace run by Goel, but the license was in the name of his brother Shardendu, who is still on the run.
Authorities say the death toll in the fire could have been much lower if the hotel had adequate security measures. They found many violations including the rooftop kitchen and wooden panelings which prevented guests from evacuating on time.
The fire broke out at around 4 in the morning when the guests were sleeping. At the time of the blaze, 35 rooms of the hotel were occupied by a single group, which was in Delhi for a wedding.
17 people were killed in the fire, including two people who jumped off the roof to escape the inferno.
