In quite a heart winning gesture Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleaned the feet of the sanitation workers who have been tirelessly working during the ongoing Kumbh in Prayagraj.
The PM also took a holy dip and offered prayers in Sangam.?
He arrived in Prayagraj earlier in the day was received by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Later, PM washed the feet of sanitation workers at Kumbh and also felicitated them.?
Hailing their contribution to keep the ongoing Kumbh clean, the PM said that his yearĄ¯s Kumbh wasnĄ¯t confined to a religious gathering but also gave out the social message of cleanliness.
"It was a big responsibility to keep clean an area where 20-22 crore people had gathered. You have proved there is nothing impossible in the world.The sanitation workers kept doing their work without any recognition and praise," he said.
PM Modi also added that the moment of washing the sanitation workersĄ¯ feet will stay with him forever.?
The PM also lauded the effort of Namami Gange mission in cleaning up the holy river.
"IĄ¯ve never seen a more cleaner Ganga previously and it has been because of Namami Gange project," he said.
Kumbh Mela, the largest human congregation in the world, will end on March 4.?
