Except, it was not Paramjit Kaur, but her boyfriend who turned up at the exam - Angrez Singh, pretending to be Paramjit Kaur.?
This hilarious scene played out at a health workers exam conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at DAV Public School in Kotkapura.?
The university officials in Kotkapura found something amiss and filed a complaint with the police.?
According to the police, Angrez Singh even showed fake voter and Aadhar cards to prove he was Paramjit Kaur.?
However, the truth was revealed when his fingerprints failed to match those of the genuine candidate on the biometric device.?
"Angrez Singh was impersonating a female candidate identified as Paramjit Kaur, a resident of Fazilka. He has been arrested and the candidature of the real candidate also invalidated," said Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Vice-Chancellor, Dr Rajeev Sud.?
This isn't the first time that 'fake' candidates were caught writing exams illegally on behalf of original students.?
