During Sachin Tendulkar's recent visit to Jammu & Kashmir, amidst the picturesque snow-clad landscapes of Pahalgam, he encountered a deeply moved fan whose emotional interaction with the cricket legend went viral.
In a heartfelt encounter captured on video, the fan expressed his overwhelming admiration for Tendulkar, his lifelong idol, revealing that he even authored a book about the cricket icon. Recalling the day of Tendulkar's retirement, the fan disclosed that he spent the entire night in tears, unable to contain his sorrow.
"On the day you retired, you shed two tears, but I cried all night," he told Tendulkar, highlighting the profound impact the cricketer had on his life. Meeting his idol was a dream come true for him, describing it as one of the best days of his life.
Moved by the fan's emotions, Tendulkar offered consolation and requested the fan's name and contact details to send him a token of appreciation upon his return to Mumbai. Against the snowy backdrop of Pahalgam, Tendulkar shared his own joy, appreciating the tranquil beauty of the surroundings.
Tendulkar's visit to Jammu & Kashmir was filled with memorable encounters. Besides his heartfelt interaction with the fan, he also visited a bat manufacturing facility in Pulwama district.
Accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, Tendulkar made a pit stop at MJ Sports Factory in Chersoo Pulwama, along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, en route to Pahalgam.
Continuing his exploration, he visited the Martand Temple in Mattan before heading towards Pahalgam.Further, Tendulkar extended his best wishes to the upcoming fourth edition of Khelo India, slated to commence on February 21st.
